Meet Ryan Doran

Based just south of Missoula, Montana; Logging Creek Customs was founded upon the idea of creating and designing spaces and furniture that tell a story. It began when the founder, Ryan Doran began his first job as a carpenters apprentice at the age of 13. Everyday after school he went to work, soaking up knowledge from a chain smoking carpenter that expected the task done right after he explained it once. On the weekends, Ryan took on another project. Bringing back to life, a neglected 1950’s cabin on his family ranch. This is where the passion blossomed into something so much more and the love for making the old new again took hold. In much of his work you will find new mixed with the old, with the old telling the story of the piece and the new holding it all together. Using traditional carpentry and woodworking methods, we turn ideas into something tangible, something your guests ask about when they walk through the door. Ryan has a drive to learn, and try new things which allows this business to thrive with those that want a product that is truly one of a kind. If you have a space that you can’t quite pin point a design for, bring it to us - Let’s work together to build something extraordinary.

Build It | fix it | enjoy it

Many homes in Montana have gone too long with out a little bit of love. At Logging Creek Customs we pride ourselves in bringing the old back to life. Whether you have an 1800’s farmhouse or a new build that needs accent to really make it your own, we have you covered. We take on remodel projects that might be a little outside the box and require some creativity to really nail it while keeping ourselves busy with run in the mill repair work. Give us a call and we will fit you in!

  • While larger remodels live in the price per square foot, and smaller might live on time & materials we are also here to make people happy. Have a budget? We are honest about how far that gets you and think of creative ways to make it work!

  • Putting family first, we try to stick to the Missoula and surrounding Bitterroot Valley. But heck, if we get an opportunity we will put the boots to the ground.

  • As of March 2025 we still have some openings in April for smaller jobs, with some weeks open in May.
